Big Five Harley Davidson donates R30 000 to charity
Each of the respective charity organisations received R10 000.
NELSPRUIT – Harley-Davidson Big Five donated R10 000 to three respective charity organisations on Friday.
Alzheimers South Africa, Pro Life Pet Rescue and Rhino Buddies were the ones who each received a third of the R30 000 that the bikers raised.
Director of Harley-Davidson Big Five, Mr William Bruntnell welcomed the non-profit organisations with a promise that in the coming year, Big Five would raise even more funds to donate.
Pro-Life Pet Rescue’s Ms Karin Erasmus thanked Big Five for its donation. “We have been desperate for funds as we plan to open a sanctuary for the pets, instead of the normal kennels. Just imagine – open spaces for them to run around in, no ‘jails’. Unfortunately, that requires vast amounts of funding – which we didn’t have. Big Five’s donation of R10 000 will go a very long way in establishing this project,” Erasmus said.
She further invited Big Five to set up advertising at the new sanctuary.
Alzheimers South Africa’s Ms Allyson Broodryk reiterated Erasmus’s word of thanks, “Receiving R10 000 is an amazing experience. We thank you and ask God to bless you.”
Rhino Buddies awarded the group with a certificate which they can put up in their offices to showcase their contribution to Rhino Buddies.
