A local pastor urges churches to unite, love and pray for each other rather than fighting among themselves.
NELSPRUIT- Churches are urged to unite and fight the devil not their church’s
names.
These were the words of Pastor Thoko Mkhabela of Emmanuel Church at
Mangweni village near Tonga.
Mkhabela practically practises this philosophy as she is always found in the company of other church members during her sermons. She recently preached during the celebrations of Vuka make uye emasimini project at Msogwaba Allince Church where she was in the company of church members from various churches around her community including Zions, ZCC, full Gospel, Alliance and other denominations.
“We must unite as Christians because Christ died for all of us, He doesn’t care about the names of our churches, He calls everyone to come to HIS Kingdom without any
discrimination over race, colour, ethnic group, or even church name. He
generously loves all of us,” she said.
With the group of churches she regularly meets with they even have rosters on how they visit each other’s local church.
“We meet every Wednesday for prayers and the reading of the word of God
and we rotate our meeting points according to our locals,” she said.
They meet for prayer sessions and the sharing of the word of God.
Mkhabela started meeting with other church members in 2002 and had since been joined by the Pastors Fraternity in her place and they all support each other in good and tempting times.
