EDM warns of tender scam

The Ehlanzeni District Municipality has issued out a warning on a fake tender or tender scam that has been making rounds in shopping complexes and roads.

The tender reads as follows:

EHLANZENI SISTRICT MUNICIPALITY

Ehlanzeni District Municipality invites tender proposals from interested parties of service providers for tender proposal number: ED/RPF/02/2014-15: grass cutting and garden at Ehlanzeni Municipality.
Proposal will be evaluated in line with EDM s SUPPLY chain management policy in terms of price and (sic) company certificate.
Bid documents will be available from Wednesday 11 December 2014 and a non-refundable is R600

From this account 10059945891 Standard Bank then you attach (sic) your document with your receipt after u submit to EDM office room N9 33 government complex. Queries relating to the issue of tender document must be addressed to the deputy manager: supply chain management at

Taxclearance certificate

A compulsory briefing session will be held on Tuesday 09 December 2014, at 10:00 at Ehlanzeni District Municipality office, (sic) central foyer, ground floor, tender room 08, van Nieker Street, Nelspruit 1200 must be deposited in the tender box in sealed envelope with all documents.
