Local comedians to leave audience in stitches of laughter

Hosting such an event is a way of ploughing back into the community. The money that will be raised will be donated to disadvantaged learners who do not have decent school uniforms.

KABOKWENI – Local comedians in collaboration with their Gauteng counterparts will bring smiles and hope to needy learners of Makhahlela Primary School. The school will host Back to school comedy vibes this Saturday at Emmanuel Assemblies in Gutshwa.

Hosting such an event is a way of ploughing back into the community. The money that will be raised will be donated to disadvantaged learners who do not have decent school uniforms.

One the organisers, Mr William Ngobeni, said, ”Since we are working with local comedians, we visited the school as one of my colleagues attended his primary level there. We noticed that there were learners who didn’t have school shoes and uniforms.

That is very disturbing to an extent that some of the learners drop out of school because they feel that they don’t belong there. So we decided to do something for them to ensure they have a brighter future. We used to host such events in Pretoria at Church Hall. I hope we will have more supporters because it’s not all about fun, but it’s about touching the lives of other people.”

Comedians who will be entertaining the crowd are Double Blacks from the top-10 of SA’s Got Talent, Matewu AKA Bozza and Ngcozi Yebo from Kasi FM.
Entry fee: Learners (in school uniform) R30; normal tickets R50 and VIP tickets R100.
