An ATM machine was tampered with in Kanyamazane in the early hours of Wednesday morning. It was reported that it was an attempted ATM bombing.
According to SAPS Brigadier Leonard Hlathi, the perpetrators managed to get away with cell phones and some cash.

“It was not a bombing, it was an attempted bombing and there was only damage left,” said Brigadier Hlathi.
In a separate incident, a man was arrested last night in Kanyamazane after it was reported that he died in the police holding cells.
