Catiale Designs hosted an electrifying fashion show on Saturday April 9 at KaNyamazane community hall, aimed at empowering local designers and models.

The brains behind this event, the Catiale Designs founder, Bathabile Sithole, said they had wanted to create a platform for local designers while at the same time giving models an opportunity to showcase their talents as well.

“We hosted this event not just for ourselves, but for all the fashion enthusiasts in KaNyamazane and surrounds. We welcomed small businesses to set up stalls and sell to the audience as an attempt to develop one another as fashion designers and entrepreneurs. Catiale Designs wants to provide a platform for ambitious local models to hone their talents. We also invited dancers and up-and-coming artists to perform, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for them to promote themselves,” Sithole explained.

She said that they would like to see more of these events being hosted in the future.
