Acornhoek City to play friendly against Magesi
According to head coach Sipho Dzimba, the team requires financial support to continue playing without difficulty.
Acornhoek City Football Club will travel to Polokwane on Saturday, August 30. Majita Ya Style, as Acornhoek City are also known, will play a friendly match against the Premier Soccer League outfit, Magesi Football Club.
According to Sipho Dzimba, the club’s head coach and co-ordinator, the visit to Polokwane will allow his players to play a competitive match against a bigger outfit.
“This visit is a significant investment in the players’ preparation as future soccer stars. And if it happens we play in the local league, this would have assisted them to grow mentally to understand the competitive and professional side of the game,” he said.

Dzimba added that they are aiming to elevate competitive standards and provide professional exposure for the boys.

“It is all about giving the boys exposure. This will assist them to have an understanding of how to handle themselves as professional players. They will have the opportunity to learn from the best in the country. We appreciate the support from the parents and guardians of these players,” he said.

Dzimba said the team is in need of support.
“We appeal to the public to assist with equipment donations as we strive to develop these boys. We require soccer jerseys for all our divisions, cones, soccer balls, water bottles and soccer boots.”
