TS Galaxy’s winning streak ends as Marumo Gallants win at Mbombela Stadium

TS Galaxy have won their last four games at home. However, they were defeated 2-1 on March 30, by Marumo Gallants in the Betway Premiership at the Mbombela Stadium.

Marumo Gallants caused trouble for The Rockets from the early stages of the game when Masindi Nemtajela opened the scoresheet after just two minutes. TS Galaxy fought so hard to get an early equaliser, but Marumo Gallants continued showing no respects to the home team.

Keagan Dolly’s effort of trying to get an equaliser was ruled offside by the linesman. The Free State team came to the City of Mbombela to collect all three points. Maruma Gallants nearly scored their second goal towards the end of the first half, but their attack broke down. The referee blew the whistle while the visiting team were leading by a goal to nil.

The Rockets came back in the second half more energised and promising. Marumo Gallants were never shaken by their spirit and Daniel Msendami strike made the score 2-1 in the 55th minute, assisted by Mlungisi Khumalo.

In the 67 minute, Victor Letsoalo gave TS Galaxy hope by hitting the next goal. Dolly had another opportunity to level things but missed a beautiful sitter in the 77th minute of play.

At the end of the 90 minutes, TS Galaxy lost three points in their home ground and they will remain in position four after playing 24 games, with 35 points. However, Marumo Gallants will move up to position 12 with 25 points after 23 games played.
