Mpumalanga Department of Health plans service delivery steps

During a strategic planning session the MEC for health said the department aims to strengthen health systems.

The Mpumalanga Department of Health (DoH), led by MEC Sasekani Manzini, held a departmental strategic planning session at Nutting House Lodge on Friday, October 24.

Commissions reported on the department’s developed and recommended strategic direction.

This included aligning goals with its mission and vision, and providing tools to monitor and implement the performance of the strategic plan in line with departmental priorities to further strengthen healthcare systems and improve healthcare services for the people of Mpumalanga.

During the session, Manzini emphasised the importance of the meeting in ensuring the department’s continued provision of quality healthcare services to every community in Mpumalanga.

“Our focus remains clear: To strengthen health systems, improve service delivery, and ensure quality healthcare reaches every community in our province. We remain resolute in our quest to provide world-class healthcare services to our people, regardless of their socio-economic status, as outlined by the envisaged National Health Insurance,” said Manzini.
