Nkomazi’s women celebrate growth in style during high tea

The founder of the event, Gabisile Lubisi, started this initiative in 2017 and it has grown from strength to strength.

The Evolve High Tea Experience 2025 unfolded in grand style at Shonga Events R571 venue on October 18. This annual event continues to merge elegance with enterprise, offering women a platform to connect, learn and celebrate one another’s growth.

The function drew over 200 women from across Mpumalanga, including leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs and visionaries, all united by a shared passion for self-development and sisterhood. The event was hosted by Gees Holdings, Lotte Events and Shonga Events.

Founder Gabisile Lubisi reflected on the function’s evolution from its humble beginnings in 2017 to becoming a hallmark of empowerment in the Lowveld.

The keynote speaker, Dr Nonceba Koranteng, a radiologist, opened the programme with a timely address on breast and cervical cancer awareness. Her insights, shared during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, encouraged early detection, prevention and healthy living.

Fortunate Nkosi, founder of Boni Africa Development, delivered a powerful speech, urging women to lead with authenticity, embrace their individuality and pursue purpose with courage.

Adding spiritual depth, Ps Lisa of Tonga View HUC offered a message of healing and resilience, reminding women that, like pearls formed under pressure, every challenge can be transformed into beauty and strength.

The day concluded with a dynamic panel discussion on financial, mental and physical wellness.
