“They are frequently associated with preterm delivery between 32 and 34 weeks of gestation. Such cases typically require advanced maternal and neonatal intensive care. The successful outcome at Tintswalo Hospital demonstrates the facility’s capacity to provide specialised, high care services in a rural setting.”
The deliveries occurred sequentially. The first infant was born at 07:40 and the birth weight was 2.470g. The second infant was born at 07:42, with a birth weight of 2.530g. The third infant was born at 07:44 and weighed 1.790g.
”All neonates were delivered safely and are receiving appropriate postnatal care. The mother is a parent of six children; she previously delivered twins and a singleton,” said Nobela.
