Right down the line: Buccaneers are coming for league title

Orlando Pirates will have an encounter with Mamelodi Sundowns which will not be an easy task.

The Soweto derby was world-class football particularly on for the Buccaneers who played exceptionally well.

The first half was what I would call power struggle, both teams were still finding their feet which resulted in both teams securing a goal on each end. 17-year-old Pirates Luvuyo Memela, who is a high school fellow manhandle the Chief’s older chaps on the field. Between 50-60 minutes Ezimnyama intensified their attack. Coming towards the last few minutes of the match the Pirates boasted an 89% ball position compared to Chiefs 11%. This is what supporters have been yearning for – a derby with goals. Clearly the buccaneers were not finished where they left off in Port Elizabeth where Chippa United was given a 4-1 whacking. Chiefs should’ve been cold feet from that point because Pirates was coming with young boys who are hungry and would stop at nothing until they’re in the lead in the league.
