Who will emerge as the victor when two giants meet?

The team to be crowned champs will walk away with R20 000 cash prize while the runners up get to collect R10 000.

Sparks will fly on Sunday at the Matsulu Open Grounds, when the Green Mambas FC take on the two times champions of the Tsb sugar sponsored soccer tourney, Sukumani Sidlale Cup, Chelsea FC.

These two Matsulu giants soccer teams advanced to the final showdown of this annual soccer tourney, which has taken the whole township by storm, providing much needed entertainment and game time for local teams, after facing other tough opponents on the way.

It would be interesting to see who is going to be crowned champions, but whoever is going to lift the trophy on Sunday would have deserved it.

“We are prepared, we are more than ready to cause an upset. We have come too far to give up now. Our approach for this game is going to slightly change because of the red card we had last Sunday and the few injuries on camp. But we have a plan in place,” said Green Mamba coach, Abel Masilela.

His counterpart, Silakhi Masilela, the Chelsea coach said they will use their experience over the Mambas.

“This is our third final of this competition and over the years we have gained experience, which will come in handy on against Green Mamba.

We are going to defend this trophy come rain or sunshine,” promised the other Masilela.

The team to be crowned champs will walk away with R20 000 cash prize while the runners up get to collect R10 000.

This soccer tournament, sponsored Tsb sugar was formed just before the 2010 Soccer World Cup to help unearth local soccer talent, while at the same time enabling local soccer teams some form of an organised football competition.
