Traffic plan in place for Orbit College FC vs Orlando Pirates FC Clash at Mbombela Stadium
Fans attending Saturday’s Betway Premiership match are urged to arrive early as limited free parking will be available before 13:00.
Football supporters attending the much-anticipated Betway Premiership match between Orbit College FC and Orlando Pirates FC on May 23 at Mbombela Stadium are advised to plan their travel carefully as traffic and parking arrangements will be tightly controlled.
The City of Mbombela has outlined key guidelines to ensure smooth access to the stadium. Permit holders, including hospitality guests, VIPs, media, and disabled spectators, are required to use the P166 (Stadium Link Road between Riverside and Mataffin), which will remain accessible even during road closures.

General spectators may use limited parking at the stadium on a first-come, first-served basis. Early arrivals can take advantage of free parking at designated areas such as the old sports fields and the pecan orchard around the stadium precinct.

However, this free parking will only be available until 13:00.
Authorities have confirmed that Samora Machel Drive will be closed once parking reaches capacity or from 13:00 onwards.

The closure will affect the stretch between Madiba Drive (Granite Street) and the N4 Mataffin turnoff. After this time, general traffic will be redirected to Park and Ride facilities, while only vehicles with valid access permits will be allowed through.

Overflow parking will be available opposite Halls Gateway, north of Samora Machel Drive, but fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early to avoid congestion and delays.
With a large crowd expected, supporters are urged to follow all traffic instructions and consider alternative transport options to ensure a safe and hassle-free match-day experience.
