Local beauties set the stage
"The pageant is going to be more on an international level than simply being an ordinary one."

This year’s Crowning Miss Mpumalanga is set to be bigger and better than previous events.
Kgomotso Sebeko, who is the choreographer for this most prestigious beauty pageant in the province, says the event is set to be a mind-blowing experience and that revellers can expect fireworks.
Sebeko indicates that this year it is going to be more interactive, “We will use more colour in terms of lighting and it’s going to have a more fashionable look and feel than previous pageants we hosted.
“We have also toned down on the evening gowns. It will be more about celebrating the girls’ beauty while setting a romantic atmosphere,” Sebeko added.
He says that the previous events were more about fashion, and this year they opt for a more interactive evening between the finalists and the crowd.
“The pageant is going to be more on an international level than simply being an ordinary one.”
The show will also boast two of the most talented and celebrated musicians from the province – Idols winner Musa Sekwene and runner-up Brenden Ledwaba.
The cherry on top – the host for the evening, none other than Bonang Matheba, who will take us through the show alongside renowned radio personality for Rise FM, Celani Dube.
The judging panel consists of Molatelo Mashabane, Bongani Hlatshwayo, Martin Nkosi, Judith Khoza and Lungile Mhango.
Tickets are available from Sneakers Edition stores at Riverside and I’langa malls, including The Promenade at R150 and for VIP is R350.
