South Africa's national football team, Banyana Banyana have urged fans to come out in numbers this Sunday at Dobsonville Stadium for their match against Burkino Faso in an internationl friendly.
It’s a return to action for the team after claiming the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations(COSAFA) title last month.

I’m also glad that a friendly game has come up so early after our win.”
Sunday’s international friendly against Burkino Faso provides head coach, Desiree Ellis a perfect opportunity to introduce some players back into the main squad. “It’s fantastic and ideal to get an international friendly at this satge because we wanted to utilise this time to bring players that have recovered from injury and those that have come back from overseas as well as those who did not attend the COSAFA games to give them an opportunity to play,”says Ellis.
The next major target for Banyana will be the qualifiers for the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations with Africa Cup of Nations serving as a qualifying tournament for the 2019 Fifa Women’s World Cup.
