Lydenburg rugby players give their all
The Hoërskool Lydenburg's rugby season kicked off on a good note with the u.15A's winning the Mpumalanga Medium Schools final.
The Hoërskool Lydenburg’s (LHS) u. 14 and u. 15 rugby teams played at Curro Nelspruit in the Mpumalanga Medium Schools Final on Saturday July 23.
The u. 15 team was named the Mpumalanga winners. They beat Hoogenhout High School 24-5. The player of the match was Zarius Smit.
The u. 14 team also made it through to the final, but then lost 20-28 to Standerton High School. At half-time, the team was only one point behind Standerton, with 13-14.
