In the first match, the hosts faced off with Vinas FC. The game tested both teams’ skills, but the home side quickly asserted their dominance, scoring twice before half-time to lead 2-0.
In the second half, the visitors came back rejuvenated, and soon found the net. However, just as Vinas FC celebrated their comeback, Young Stars extended their lead with a third goal. Vinas refused to give up, scoring two quick goals to level the match.
Just when it seemed the game was heading to penalties, Young Stars sealed victory with a late winner before the final whistle.
Since the tournament was hosted in a top-three format, Vinas FC went on to play Volgeboom FC, their cross-town rivals. Volgeboom took control early, scoring in the first half and doubling their lead after the break to book a place in the final against the Young Stars.

Unfortunately, due to rain, the final could not be played, and the teams agreed to share the prize money. Tournament organiser and Mphenyatsatsi Young Stars coach Mahlomola Monareng said the event was a success despite the bad weather.
“We witnessed good competition from all the teams, and it’s unfortunate that the final couldn’t be played – it would have been a great match,” he said.
