Mordecai Ndlovu Foundation hosts Men as Allies bush camp at Hlongo House
Participants disconnect from daily pressures to learn how to lead as allies for their families and communities.
The two-day Men as Allies bush camp brought men together from July 25 to 26, to address fatherhood, accountability and human rights.

This was a space for men to show up, listen, learn and lead as allies for their families, their communities and each other. The camp was organised by the Mordecai Ndlovu Foundation.
Focus on accountability and rights
During the event, Dr Senzo Tshuma unpacked three principles: responsibility, accountability and productivity. He also discussed family as a framework for stronger homes and communities.

Dr Tembisa Leeuw from the South African Human Rights Commission discussed human rights, safety and the critical role of having present fathers.
Peter Mathebula from Men’s Sector Mpumalanga shared insights on men’s involvement and collective action across the province.
