Covid-19 cases in South Africa now at 521 318
The Department of Health reports 345 new Covid-19 related deaths

As of yesterday, 4 August, a cumulative total of 521 318 confirmed Covid-19 cases in South Africa have been recorded.
The total number of tests conducted to date is 3 078 202 with 19 507 new tests conducted since the last report.
The Department of Health reports 345 new Covid-19 related deaths: 43 from Eastern Cape, 116 from Gauteng, 89 from KwaZulu Natal, 97 from Western Cape. This brings the cumulative number of deaths to 8 884.
The number of recoveries currently stands at 363 751 which translates to a recovery rate of 69,8%.
