Covid-19: Mpumalanga’s positive cases as of October 28
South Africa has recorded 719 714 confirmed infections, according to an announcement by the minister of health, Dr Zweli Mkhize, on Wednesday, October 28. A total of 29 533 of those cases have been reported in Mpumalanga.

According to data released by the Mpumalanga Department of Health, there have been 28 245 recoveries and 601 deaths to date.
The number of positive cases in the province can be broken down as follows:

Ehlanzeni District
- Bushbuckridge: 1 173 cases, 1 069 recoveries and 19 deaths
- City of Mbombela: 5 729 cases, 5 383 recoveries and 60 deaths
- Nkomazi: 2 224 cases, 2 148 recoveries and 41 deaths
- Thaba Chweu: 483 cases and 451 recoveries and 13 deaths.
Gert Sibande District
- Chief Albert Luthuli: 805 cases, 760 recoveries and 20 deaths
- Dipaliseng: 343 cases and 327 recoveries and 15 deaths
- Dr Pixely Ka Isaka Seme: 962 cases, 943 recoveries and 18 deaths
- Govan Mbeki: 3 764 cases, 3 662 recoveries and 60 deaths
- Lekwa: 1 179 cases, 1 104 recoveries and 60 deaths
- Mkhondo: 584 cases, 540 recoveries and 29 deaths
- Msukaligwa: 1 727 cases, 1 641 recoveries and 46 deaths.
Nkangala District
- Dr JS Moroka: 405 cases, 392 recoveries and nine deaths
- eMakhazeni: 474 cases and 454 recoveries and 17 deaths
- eMalahleni: 5 671 cases, 5 513 recoveries and 101 deaths
- Steve Tshwete: 2 883 cases, 2 771 recoveries and 63 deaths
- Thembisile Hani: 662 cases, 634 recoveries and 20 deaths
- Victor Khanye: 465 cases and 453 recoveries and 10 deaths.
