Former mayor of Lesedi Local Municipality dies from Covid-19
Former executive mayor of Lesedi Local Municipality Busisiwe Modisakeng (60) passed away on January 8.
She succumbed to Covid-19 in the early hours of the morning after she was hospitalised.
She was described as a dedicated servant with exceptional leadership qualities.
The coronavirus has claimed almost 32 000 lives in South Africa since the start of the pandemic and almost 21 000 new infections were recorded over the past 24 hours.
