WATCH | Mooi River: N3 remains closed after a night of protest action
Motorists are advised to stay clear of the area while law enforcement officials continue to monitor the situation
The N3 at the Mooi River Toll Plaza remains closed in both directions as trucks that were set alight last night (July 9) continue to smoulder.
According to reports, eight trucks were torched during protest action at the toll plaza.
This is believed to be part of the Shutdown KZN, as Jacob Zuma supporters call for his release from prison at the Estcourt Correctional Centre.
Motorists are advised to stay clear of the area while law enforcement officials continue to monitor the situation.
Protestors also damaged and looted shops in Mooi River last night.
