Pretoria twin girls, sister found dead in New Zealand by father

The three-year-old twins and their sister (7) were found dead at their new home in Timaru, New Zealand on Thursday night.

New Zealand police were investigating the murder of three young girls from Pretoria who had recently moved into their new home in Timaru.

The shocking news of Pretoria family Graham and Lauren Dickason’s three daughters being killed in New Zealand spread like wildfire on social media on Friday morning.

Graham and Lauren both worked at the Pretoria East Hospital.

Advocate Ketina Chivasa of KC Ministries wrote on Facebook: “Heartbreaking … Twin girls and their sister were found dead at their new home in Timaru on Thursday night.

“They left Pretoria to carve out a new chapter in their lives and by all accounts, it looked like they were excited to arrive, ready to settle into Kiwi life in the South Canterbury town.

“Graham and Lauren Dickason, together with their seven-year-old daughter Liane and twin three-year-old girls Karla and Maya, made the move to New Zealand and into their home across the road from Timaru Hospital.”

The New Zealand Herald reported on the tragic case.

“Graham is an orthopaedic surgeon and Lauren is a doctor in the same field.

“They were put into a home leased by the hospital for visiting health professionals when they finished their stint in managed isolation and arrived in Timaru,” NZ Herald wrote.

“At about 22:00 on Thursday, emergency services were called to the house on Queen St. There they found the three girls dead and a woman believed to be their mother, with critical injuries.”

It was still unclear what had happened.
