Banyana-Banyana off to a great start

This was by far a great performance for Banyana-Banyana beating the stubborn Black Stars.

Banyana-Banyana started their Aisha Buhari Cup campaign with a 3-0 victory over Ghana in Group B match at Mobolaji Johson Arena in Nigeria yesterday.

It was a great performance from Coach Desiree Ellis’ team as Ghana didn’t have answers on how to stop Banyana-Banyana. The tournament is a six-nation competition.

South Africa started the game like a house on fire, attacking from the first whistle. All their overseas players were available and their experience was key for Banyana-Banyana. This was by far a great performance for Banyana-Banyana beating the stubborn Black Stars.

Hilda Magaia, Thembi Kgatlana and Sibulele Holweni were the goal scorers. Banyana-Banyana will face Cameroon in their next game.
