DE DEUR  – An investigation has been launched after a tip-off led police to a warehouse on a plot in Hartzenbergfontein, De Deur, where over a million rands worth of stolen food items were discovered.

Police spokesperson Constable Maria Letsele reports that authorities responded swiftly to the tip-off and upon arrival, found several boxes with stolen equipment, including condiments and groceries.

“The goods were identified by Shoprite investigators. The items are suspected to have been stolen during the hijacking of local food trucks. The estimated value of the items amounts to R1.2 million.
