Two nabbed for drugs in the East

Silverton police arrested two people for possession of drugs in the WIllows, east of Pretoria, on Friday afternoon.

The arrest happened after Silverton police received a tip-off about a drug storage in Bush street, said Silverton police spokesperson Warrant Officer Isaac Mculu.

“The police responded and upon arrival they saw one of the storage roller doors half-opened and went inside.

“Inside, police found two men, aged 25 and 26, busy packing nyaope drugs and putting it into plastics,” he said.

The two were arrested and detained at the Silverton police station.

Mculu said they would be appearing before the Pretoria magistrate’s court on Monday after formally being charged.
