Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 29-year-old man after he fell from an upper floor of Menlyn Park shopping centre on this morning.

Menlyn’s general manager Nisha Kemraj says the incident occurred at about 09:45 when a man fell from Cavendish Court.

According to Pro Med spokesperson Michael Gough the patient was declared dead on scene.

“We are currently not sure if he was pushed or jumped, however police are on scene busy with investigations.”

The scene was secured and access to the area limited.

“An official investigation is underway, and Menlyn Park Centre Management are fully cooperating with authorities as they investigate the circumstances around the incident.

Police have yet to comment.
