Woman critical after dog attack in KZN
A woman was rushed to hospital after being bitten multiple times by a dog while leaving a property.
A woman in her 30s was rushed to hospital after she was attacked by a dog in KZN yesterday.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamison said they responded to the incident which happened in Daisy Road, Malvern, just after 15:00.

“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a female in her 30s had been attacked by an apparent Belgian Malinois as she was exiting a property.
“The patient sustained multiple dog bites to her body and was in critical condition. ALS paramedics worked on her before she was rapidly transported to Ahmed Al Khadi Private Hospital where a trauma team was awaiting her arrival,” says Jamieson.
He adds that SAPS, metro police and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals were on the scene and are investigating what led to the attack.
This incident follows a few other cases of dog bites around Durban.
Last week, a one-year-old child was bitten by a family dog in the Queensburgh area.
