Jacob Zuma was involved in a car crash en route from Nkandla to eShowe.

Former president Jacob Zuma is reportedly unscathed after having been involved in an accident last night.

According to reports, the accident occurred at about 19:00 when he was en route from Nkandla to eShowe to campaign for the MK Party.

According to party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela, Zuma is well and at home.

This comes after the IEC on Thursday ruled that Zuma is barred from standing as a political candidate in the upcoming elections.
