Police bust gang suspected of terrorising Nazareth community

Four men were arrested at a house in Pinetown for being in possession of guns and suspected stolen items.

Four suspects, aged between 19 and 24, who allegedly terrorised the Nazareth community and surrounding areas, were arrested earlier today.

According to KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda, the suspects were apprehended during an intelligence-driven operation that led officers to a house in Pinetown, where the suspects were found.

“They were found in possession of four firearms, 14 rounds of ammunition, 13 suspected stolen cellphones, five bank cards, and other electronic items. Preliminary investigations revealed that some of the items were stolen during a recent house robbery in Tshelimnyama, Mariannhill,” adds Netshiunda.

The suspects were expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court today. They outcome was not yet know by time of publishing this artilce.
