Watch: 3 arrested near Doornkop, search continues for remaining suspects

SAPS is searching for suspects near Doornkop after a stolen truck was tracked to the area, leading to three arrests while others remain at large.

Motorists travelling on the N11 towards Loskop Dam should be aware that SAPS is searching for multiple suspects near Doornkop, where three men were arrested earlier. This follows the owner of a stolen truck and trailers tracking the vehicle to Doornkop, where the suspects were seen offloading it.

According to Middelburg Observer, it is unclear when and where the truck was stolen, but the driver was injured and remains in hospital.

The case was reported to Vosman police on Monday.

Traffic Alert members, including owner Louwtjie Swarr, rushed to the scene where the suspects had parked the truck, and assisted with the arrests.

A video posted on Traffic Alert shows men offloading the trailers.

Three men were arrested on the spot, while two escaped.

The remaining suspects are armed and dangerous.

Drones have been requested to aid the search, and more suspects may be hiding in the bushes.

The scene is near the filling station next to Doornkop.
