Wife to appear in court after husband killed in Mossel Bay stabbing

A Mossel Bay woman is expected in court after allegedly stabbing her intoxicated husband to death during a domestic incident in Asla Park.

A man was stabbed to death, allegedly by his wife, in Asla Park, Mossel Bay, yesterday afternoon.

According to the Mossel Bay Advertiser, KwaNonqaba Police Station spokesperson Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp said police were called to the scene in Mabolo Street at about 15:00 yesterday.

He said the man (65) had stab wounds to his chest and back and was declared dead at the scene by emergency medical services.

Kapp said the husband was intoxicated and was allegedly starting to become violent towards his wife (60). He was then stabbed, allegedly by her.

The woman was arrested at the scene and is expected to appear in the Mossel Bay magistrate’s court tomorrow.

The names of both the husband and wife are known to the Mossel Bay Advertiser. They will be published once the woman has appeared in court.
