Gift of the Givers and disaster management teams are assisting residents of the Dakota informal settlement, south of Durban, following a devastating fire that broke out early this morning.
According to The Witness, the blaze, which ripped through the settlement on Foreman Road in Durban, reportedly destroyed at least 150 shacks.
Disaster response teams were dispatched to the scene to contain the fire and prevent further damage.
