Teen appears in Mossel Bay court over panga attack

A boy accused of assaulting three people in Mountain View will remain in police custody until his next court appearance.

The 15-year-old boy facing three charges of attempted murder, after allegedly assaulting three people with a panga in Mountain View, was denied bail in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court yesterday (August 12).

The boy, whose identity cannot be revealed because he is a minor, allegedly attacked two victims between 21:00 and 23:00 on August 1, reports Mossel Bay Advertiser.

A third victim was allegedly attacked during the early hours of the next morning.

The Da Gamaskop Police arrested him on August 5.

The circumstances behind the attacks are still under investigation.

The teen was remanded into police custody until his next appearance on September 10.
