WATCH: Cash-in-transit bombing on N4 caught on video
A Fidelity guard was injured in the incident.
An eyewitness was able to capture the cash-in-transit heist which took place on the N4 Crocodile Gorge on camera, reports the Lowvelder.
It is alleged that about 10 suspects who were driving in four vehicles, a black Mercedes, two BMWs, one grey and one black, as well as a white bakkie, opened fire at the Fidelity Security armoured bakkie, which was coming from Malalane side and heading towards Mbombela until it came to halt.
It has been confirmed that one Fidelity guard was injured and their firearms taken. The suspects escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
