Shortly afterwards, one of the suspects is seen fiddling with the gate and eventually derails it with the help of his accomplice.

Three of the alleged suspects are then seen stealing what appears to be plasma screens and other goods worth R30 000.

It is unclear as to how many suspects were involved in the housebreaking, Boksburg Advertiserreported.

Boksburg police investigating officer Sergeant Stanley Mokwele told The Citizen the complainant has lodged a complaint and police were investigating the matter further.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone who may recognise the suspects seen in the video is asked to contact Mokwele on 079 756 4581 or 011 841 6858.

In a separate incident, police were investigating cases of housebreaking and the theft of a motor vehicle after robbers invaded a Midrand home while the homeowners were asleep in August last year.

At about 4.47am, suspects are shown appearing at the gate driving the complainant’s grey VW Jetta 5 vehicle.

Three of the alleged robbers are then seen forcing open the property’s gate and driving off with the vehicle.

Police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said the complainant later noticed his house’s sliding door had been forced open and his car keys were stolen from a table.

No arrests had been made.
