Gauteng: Qedilizwe Secondary School pupil (19) arrested for stabbing another pupil

The suspect requested a knife from his other school mate which was used to stab the victim on the spinal cord, behind the neck.

A 19-year-old Qedilizwe Secondary School pupil was arrested after stabbing another pupil at the school in Evaton on Wednesday, Sedibeng Ster reports.

Police were summoned to the school at around 14:30 where a pupil had stabbed another with a knife.

Police Spokesperson Captain Aubrey Moopeloa said: “A 19-year-old pupil was arrested after stabbing an 18-year-old pupil of the same school with a knife on the spinal cord, behind the neck. The suspect requested a knife from his other school mate which was used to stab the victim. The victim was later taken to Levai Mbatha for medical treatment.”

Mopealoa further said that the suspect will appear soon before Sebokeng magistrate court to face a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH).
