The day promises to be a truly family-oriented day and the perfect opportunity for all participants to get out for a fun day,” said Jacaranda FM general manager, Kevin Fine.
The Discovery Jacaranda FM Spring walk will take place at the Botanical Gardens on 3 October and comprises the 5km, 8km and 10km distances.
On Friday 18 September, Jacaranda FM and Discovery Health hosted a brunch for media partners and health experts at the African Pride Cafe at the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens, to discuss the relevance of the walk.
Dieticians @ Health nutritionist, Melissa Nel said a healthy lifestyle was important and encouraged everybody to bring family and friends to participate.
Kayleigh Karsten, sponsorship consultant at Discovery said: “What we would like to achieve with this walk is to create an idea that ‘exercising and healthy living are fun’ among people of all ages.”
