New VW T-Roc priced from R599 900 ahead of September SA launch
A second-generation crossover arrives with three trim levels, a 110kW turbo-petrol engine and a longer, roomier body.
Volkswagen has confirmed pricing and specifications for the second-generation T-Roc ahead of its September South African launch, with the three-model range starting at R599 900.
The new T-Roc will be offered in three trim levels: Life, R-Line and R-Line Black Style. The entry-level Life comes standard with 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, digital instrumentation, 10-colour ambient lighting, a rear-view camera, LED headlamps, 16-inch Bilbao alloy wheels and black roof rails.
Stepping up to R-Line brings model-specific exterior and interior styling, IQ.Light LED matrix headlamps, 18-inch Coventry alloy wheels, Varenna leather sports comfort seats and additional convenience and technology features, including a larger 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The range-topping R-Line Black Style adds a selection of black exterior finishes, including the wing-mirror housings and alloy wheels, as well as privacy glass.
2026 VW T-Roc price in SA
The new VW T-Roc starts at R599 900 for the Life and tops out at R709 900 for the R-Line Black Style. The R-Line sits between the two at R689 900.

Unlike its predecessor, which was available with a 140kW/320N.m 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and 4Motion all-wheel drive, the new T-Roc will be offered exclusively with a 1.4 TSI powertrain in South Africa.
The 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbopetrol engine, also offered in the Tiguan and Tayron, produces 110kW and 250N.m of torque. Drive is sent to the front wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Based on VW’s MQB evo platform, the second-generation T-Roc has grown substantially. It measures 4 373mm long and 1 828mm wide, making it 122mm longer and 9mm wider than the outgoing model.
Its wheelbase has also increased by 28mm to 2 631mm.
According to Volkswagen, the additional exterior dimensions have translated into a more spacious cabin. Boot capacity is now claimed at 475l, an increase of 30l over the outgoing T-Roc.
