Music producer Jabulani ‘Tee Jay’ Chuene and artist Tsholofelo ‘Rascoe Kaos’ Daka, who dropped hit song Samsokolo in March last year and who are of the new music genre amapiano, are collaboratively working on a follow-up extended-play (EP) also called Samsokolo.
The new EP will be released at the end of March and contains six tracks, according to the collaborating producer and artist.
They added that the EP will offer house sounds that are mixed with poetry, soul and kwaito sounds.
“We are carrying on from where we left off.
“The new EP will be unique, as it is the first song we have done together.
“We are happy the first song we did was well received and reached platinum status because of their support.
“That is quite motivational because it shows people enjoyed listening to our song and are expecting more songs from us. With this new EP, we are doing justice to our fans and alleviating their cravings.
“On the new EP, I will be telling good stories of life and offering the audience the unique tone of my voice,” said Daka.
Meanwhile, Chuene said he enjoys working with Daka because the energy in the studio is always amazing when they are together.
“People who enjoyed listening to our first song must listen to this EP because it is as good as our first song.
“I started doing music in 2014 with Boohle and never looked back. I resigned last year at my stable job, but I don’t regret it because I’m doing what I love,” said Chuene.
Chuene has produced several mainstream amapiano songs, including Sdakwa, Don’t Tatazela, Amacala and Champion Sound.
