Wines from Burgundy & Champagne up for offer on timed online auction
There are 106 lots going under the hammer featuring mature South African and French fine wines.
The wines of Burgundy and single vineyard Champagnes are produced in small quantities and command high prices. Rarely traded, mature bottles are even more rare in our small market. South African Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is similarly high in demand and vintage wines are rarely available.
The Strauss & Co Fine Wine department is proud to offer wines from Burgundy & Champagne in their current timed online auction, closing on Monday, 12 June.
The Burgundy list is star-studded, with rare vintage cuvees from Armand Rousseau, Domaine Dujac, Coche Dury, JF Mugnier, Comte de Vogue, Fourrier, Chevillon, d’Angerville. A number of mixed parcels offer further variety and often good value.
The Champagne list offers huge depth with top names such as Billecart Salmon, Bollinger, Gosset and Krug. Super-rare grower champagnes from Jerome Prevost, Egly Ouriet and Ulysse Collin complete an incredible list.
Local Pinot Noir and Chardonnays in the top line-up include Crystallum, Hamilton Russell, Newton Johnson, Restless River and Storm from the Hemel-en-Aarde. The Leeu-Passant Radicales Libres Vertical 2014 – 2016 and Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir 1986 are ultra-rare lots.
The timed online auction closes Monday, 12 June from 6pm. Please note that this auction is a timed online auction. Timed online auctions close lots consecutively starting from lot 1. There is a fixed delay of 1 minute, between two consecutive closing times. – if you are outbid, you can increase your bid the exact time your lot closes on the night.
