2 hijacking suspects set to appear in Delmas court today

Two suspects arrested in connection with the hijacking of a Toyota Hilux in Vosman are set to appear in court today.

Two suspects arrested for hijacking a white Toyota Hilux in Vosman will appear in the Delmas Magistrate’s Court today.

According to Witbank News, the suspects, aged 48 and 40, were arrested on Saturday.

Local police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane says the 48-year-old was found in possession of the bakkie and charged with possession of a suspected hijacked vehicle.

A man driving a silver Toyota Corolla, suspected of escorting the hijacked bakkie, was also arrested.

Acting Mpumalanga police commissioner Major General Dr Zeph Mkhwanazi thanked all law enforcement agencies for their swift response, leading to the vehicle’s recovery.
