Accident in KZN claims mother’s life, leaves children injured

Two children were critically injured in an accident near Stanger in KwaZulu-Natal.

A 40-year-old mother died and her young daughters were critically injured in a head-on collision on the R74 near Madundube, outside Stanger yesterday afternoon.

According to reports, the two-vehicle collision happened at high speed and the deceased woman was trapped in the wreckage.

Her 18-month-old and 13-year-old daughters were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Samantha Meyrick of IPSS Medical Rescue said the two occupants in the other car sustained moderate to minor injuries.
