AKA, Tibz murder accused to be extradited from eSwatini

Minister of Justice and Correctional Services Ronald Lamola has approved the extradition of the Ndimande brothers.

The alleged ‘paymaster’ in the Kiernan Forbes (AKA) and Tebello Motsoane (Tibz) murder case, Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni (36), on Tuesday admitted to receiving R800 000 around the time of the murders.

However, he told the Durban Magistrate’s Court that the money he received was for private security work and not the murder of AKA.

The artist and his friend were shot dead on Durban’s Florida Road in February last year when leaving a nightclub.

Tuesday’s court appearance saw Gwabeni and Lindani Zenzele Ndimande (35) continue their bail application.

Also in the dock were Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi (30), Siyanda Eddie Myeza (21), Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni (36) and Lindokuhle Ndimande (Lindo) (29).

Seven people have been arrested in connection with the murder.

Two of them, brothers Siyabonga Ndimande (Nxele) and Malusi Ndimande (Mjay), were arrested in eSwatini.
