Body found floating at beach in Richards Bay

An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding a body that was found at a beach in Richards Bay on Friday.

The body of an unknown man was found, believed to have drowned, at Newark Beach at Alkantstrand yesterday afternoon.

The man, believed to be in his early 40s was found floating in the water at around noon.

While the circumstances surrounding the discovery are unknown, authorities were still on the scene and investigations are underway.
