His body was found in a vlei and police are currently on the scene to gather information about how he died.

Pieter Skead, who went missing on Saturday, was found dead in a vlei near the Parkville fuel station in White River, Mpumalanga, at 08:45 this morning. The discovery was made by members of the search party that has been looking for Skead since he was reported missing.

The search party’s leader, Bruce Macaulay, says the police and emergency personnel were summoned and are currently on the scene to retrieve his body.

“We suspect he might have slipped and fallen in the vlei while walking, but we will wait for the police to do their investigation to determine his cause of death. I would like to thank everyone who assisted with the search, even though the result was not what we were expecting, as we were hoping to find him alive,” he adds.
