Boy stabbed in ‘gang fight’ at Gauteng school

The police conducted a search after the fight to ensure that learners did not bring dangerous weapons to school.

One pupil was wounded in an alleged gang fight at a school in Lenasia last week, which lead to him being stabbed with a broken bottle.

The fight allegedly started outside the school premises but ended up on the school grounds where two boys stabbed another in the forehead with a broken bottle.

The victim was taken to receive medical attention while the perpetrators were arrested. They appeared in court on August 1.

Following the fight, the Lenasia SAPS conducted a search at the school to ensure that pupils did not bring dangerous weapons to school.
