Eskom has announced that stage 6 power cuts will be implemented from 21:00.

This stage will continue until 05:00 tomorrow, whereafter stage 4 load-shedding will be implemented until 16:00.

Daily stage 6 power cuts will be in effect between 16:00 and 05:00, while stage 4 will be introduced between 05:00 and 16:00.

These varied stages will be implemented until further notice.

“Seven units tripped today, of which three have returned to service. In addition, the return to service of three other units has been delayed. Unit one of Matla Power Station will be shut down tonight to repair a boiler tube leak,” the power utility adds.
