Centurion jogger critical after being robbed, stabbed multiple times

The man in his 40’s had multiple stab wounds after he was robbed while he was jogging in the area.

A man was rushed to a local doctor by his wife after he was robbed during a suspected jogging attack in Olievenhoutbosch, Centurion, on Saturday morning.

Emer-G-Med regional operations manager Kyle van Reenen says they responded to a call from a shopping centre in Centurion after reports of a stabbing incident.

“On arrival on scene, a male patient, in his 40s, was found with multiple stab wounds all over his body.

“It is believed that the patient was rushed to a doctor’s room by his wife after he was assaulted and robbed while jogging in the area,” says Van Reenen.

The patient was found to be in a critical condition and was stabilised on scene by emergency care practitioners.

Due to the nature of the injuries, the victim was airlifted to hospital by a NetCare911 helicopter.
